Ear and Nose Hair Trimmer

There's no way around it - if you have ear or nose hair, it has got to go. It doesn't matter how you get rid of it, but it is essential that it be kept under control and out of sight. If not - it's a total turnoff. While you're at it, pay attention to any overgrown brow or mole hairs.

Hair Gel or Wax


'Styling' your hair needn't be complicated, just spruce it up a little so it doesn't look like you just got out of bed or the shower. The main point is to show you put some effort in. Don't over-do it. When using hair gel; you only need a little bit - squirt a dob in the palm of your hand about the diameter of a dime.

Nail Clippers and File

Sitting at a computer all day you are unlikely to have terribly dirty nails, but pay attention to nail length and shape. You want to go for smooth and well-trimmed - leave the long nails to the ladies. Consider getting a nail-brush to clean out nail dirt.

  • Pluck any visible stray hairs (chest, brow, back)
  • Use a dryer sheet to give your clothes a light fresh scent
  • Floss your teeth regularly
  • If you're going to be wearing sandals all summer, consider getting a pedicure in the spring to keep your toenails in check
